Pastor Ken & Mary Wiebe
Ken and Mary originally served as Pastors in 2008, but left in 2015 to serve in Peace River. They returned in 2023. Ken oversees the Heimstead Lodge, newcomers, marriage ministry, dining hall, fellowship lunches, wedding coordinator, and the Ministry of Mercies committee
Pastor Billy & Darlene Derksen
Before returning to Countryside Community Church, Billy was the Pastor at Lakewiew Evangelical Church in Slave Lake. He was called back to La Crete in the summer of 2024 as EBMC Mission Director and was installed as a Pastor at CCC in November 2025. Billy and Darlene oversee the ministries of Missions, Men’s ministry, and Baptism Classes.
Pastor Dwayne & Lori Wolfe
Dwayne and Lori were installed as a Pastor couple of the church in 2019. In January 2025, Dwayne stepped down from full-time ministry, but still serves as a lay minister. Dwayne oversees youth and young adults, visitation, La Crete Bible School, Baptism Classes, and the Low German Ministry
Pastor Chris & Michelle Schmidt – Youth Pastor
Chris joined Countryside as Youth Pastor in 2022 and oversees the ministries of Jr. Youth, Youth, and Young Adults
Darren & Desiree’ Froese – Church Admin and Elder
Darren and Desiree were commissioned as elders in 2021. In 2023, Darren accepted the position of Church administrator. Darren oversees education, Club DJ, choir, technology, ladies’ ministry, care meals, and bulletins.
Larry & Rebecca Braun – Elder Board Chairman
Larry and Rebecca were commissioned as elders in 2021. Larry oversees Bible studies, the congregational chairman and secretary, and the decorating committee
John & Ruth Unger – Elder
John and Ruth Unger were commissioned as Elders in 2023. John oversees adult Sunday school, newcomers, and marriage ministry.
Harold & Melanie Froese – Elder
Harold and Melanie were commissioned as Elders in 2023. Harold oversees worship teams and assists in men’s ministry
David & Melody Fehr – Elder
David and Melody were commissioned as Elders in 2024. David oversees the special events ministry and assists in the men’s ministry.
Fred & MaryJane Driedger – Deacon
Fred & Mary Jane were commissioned as Deacons in 2022. Fred oversees the sound personnel, treasurer, library, nursery, and cemetery
Henry & Barb Derksen – Deacon
Henry and Barb were commissioned as Deacons in 2023. Henry oversees maintenance, janitorial services, ushers, yard maintenance, parking lot maintenance, and the care committee.
Richard & Anna Wiebe – Deacon
Richard and Anna Wiebe were commissioned as Deacons in 2024. Richard oversees the Kitchen/Dining Hall, Fellowship Lunches, and the Wedding Coordinator.
